On offer is this lovely collectible cased set of spoons with sugar tongs. All thirteen items are in good condition overall - the silver plating shines up well still - there are a few small areas of light ware (please refer to images) exposing the base nickel silver (brassy tone); light scuffs & scratches too commensurate with age but as shown all adding to the aged charm & character of the set. They're of traditional form, beautifully decorated with a rococo inspired floral scroll handle design which stands out on display ever so well still. Sheffield produced by John Sanderson, circa late 19th century. They measure a charming 13.3cm (5 & 1/4 inches) in length, the tongs 11cm (4 & 1/4 inches) & all come presented in their original fitted case which is also in good order & extremely rare to find - the domed accent & green velvet lining is so striking! Notable ware to the lining as well as notable scuffs over the exterior as expected with age - the hinge tape has also been repaired at some stage to add more support. A lovely set of spoons with tongs ready to be collected & enjoyed once again! The postage quote is for a Royal Mail / courier tracked & insured service.
