Description
Presented is a fine old American coin silver spoon. This piece was made by Marcus Merriman & Co of Connecticut, & dates to the early 1800s. The spoon is done in a simple style, with a cut corner, almost dog-nose design to the end of the handle. The terminal of the handle has a monogram of EM in elegant script. This piece is in great condition. There are no splits, no dents, no monogram removals, & no repairs. The spoon is stamped on the stem with the maker's mark for Marcus Merriman & Co of New Haven, Connecticut. The spoon is about 8 1/2 inches long.
