Marquetry by Etro is an oriental feminine fragrance and much more. Bergamot, lavender and peach open this overture in shimmering facets like freshly dyed silk lain out to dry. Roses reveal the multi-facetted sensuality as an aromatic and exquisite counterpart. This is comparable to an artfully polished gemstone which forms the centrepiece of a richly decorated clasp on a traditional turban. Notes of tobacco, tonka beans and splendid galbanum from Persia enfold to create the wonderful aura of the composition. Peru balm and cacao notes round off the brilliant composition. Ambergris and labdanum aromas euphorically enter into the fragrance accompanied by musk and vanilla. A real work of art has been created here. As the base of this unique fragrance, i.e. wood polished with achat powder, was formed according to the rules of marquetry, this also gave the composition of the precious ingredients its name.
