Deluxe Beds constructed the Super Damask Orthopaedic mattress using a blend of robust open coil springs, white fibre fillings and a luxury damask cover. Its chenille cover features a hand tufted finish, a process that passes a series of tapes through the mattress panels at regular intervals. These tapes are fastened on each side with a cotton tuft that pre-tensions the mattress, this results in a firmer feel and ensures the fillings remain in place. Its open coil spring system is tough, durable and made up of rows of hourglass shaped springs connected at the top and bottom by a spiral wire, known as a helical wire.. The border of the mattress is reinforced by a thick, rod-edge wire that adds support to the perimeter of the mattress. This lets you sleep right up to the edge without the sensation of rolling off.
