Exclusively crafted for Archers, the Tranquillity 12800 blends pocket and mini tablet springs, plus natural fillings for the ultimate sleeping experience. This exquisite mattress is upholstered in a plush Belgian woven viscose fabric and benefits from a hand tufted finish to ensure the fillings stay in place.. Layers such as wool, cotton, silk and cashmere provide the ultimate in comfort and help regulate temperatures by drawing moisture away from the body. Sandwiched between these fillings is its body-moulding pocket spring interior, supplied by Agro, Europes biggest manufacturer of mattress springs. The unique design of the Tranquillitys interior is made up of an inner core of 2000 pocket springs, with 5400 mini tablet springs on either side. Housed in cloth sleeves, the springs are free of any neighbouring springs and only compress where pressure is applied for optimum support. An added feature is its 3 rows of hand side-stitching; a labour intensive and intricate technique that takes skilled craftsmen many years to master. This process is applied using a long upholstery needle and high tension twine to sew the mattress border to the turns in the perimeter springs. This strengthens the edge and stops it from bowing out over time. It also offers edge-to-edge support and increases the sleeping area by 20.
