Kim (Deanna Durbin) is a sweet young waitress who dreams of being a big Hollywood star.Fate lends a hand when famed actor John Sheridan (Charles Laughton) walks into the place where she works. She tricks him into signing a letter of introduction to a successful Broadway producer, thinking he's giving her his autograph!But when Kim bluffs her way into the offices of producer Charles Gilbert (Stanley Ridges), her little white lies lead to utter confusion!
