Born and raised by artistic parents in Etobicoke, Ontario, artist Anthony Del Rizzo always loved to draw and paint landscapes. He studied art at the Art Gallery of Ontario and worked creatively in his career in graphic design and advertising. Developing his skills in fine art painting and illustration, Del Rizzo is fascinated with time and light, the way the sun hits a tree or horizon at a certain time of day, creating rich colours and intricate shapes. He works directly from photo references collected on his travels, often using digital techniques to enhance compositions so that they seem familiar yet are transformed by the artist's eye.
