This mini sampler quilt is a great way to explore a selection of spring-inspired shapes and designs using pretty Liberty Tana Lawn® fabrics. Suitable for an intermediate sewer, it's constructed using a mixture of techniques which will help you add to your sewing skills. English Paper Piecing (EPP) is a traditional hand-sewing quilting method which is simple and quite addictive! The raw edge appliqué technique may be completed either by hand or with a sewing machine, the choice is up to you. It does require a bit of concentration but is easily mastered and there is no end to the items you can make with this method of appliqué. Patchworking is the classic method of quilting and this will be a great introduction to the technique. Decorative stitching adds extra interest and detail to the design of the blocks. Your finished mini quilt can become a block in a larger quilt, a cushion or a wall hanging, the choice is yours!
