Description
Designed by Michele de Lucchi, the Pulcina espresso coffee maker will make up to six cups of coffee in the traditional way.   As the product of intense research into the optimisation of a coffee pot's shape, the related qualities of coffee are improved and enhanced. Pulcina automatically stops filtering coffee at the right moment thanks to the internal shape of its unique heater. Such an interruption will help to eliminate the eruption phase - the final filtering stage that generates a burnt and bitter aftertaste - which will ensure that only the finest qualities of the coffee are preserved. This will naturally enhance the coffee's full-bodied and rounded aroma. And the pronounced spout is a typical 'V' shape. Special attention has been paid to this area of the design to perfectly cut drops when pouring.   Designed by Michele De Lucchi, this product is a reflection of true craftsmanship and manual production. Since graduating with an architecture degree in Florence, Michele De Lucchi became a leading figure on the Alchymia and Memphis movements. From 1992 to 2002, he was responsible for design at Olivetti and developed experimental projects for Compaq Computers, Philips, Siemens and Vitra, indicating a strong interest in design for work environments. Today, his professionalism is divided between architecture (both private and public), design, technology and craftsmanship.
