Exquisite reproductions of papercut collages by Mary Delany (170088) of a hollyhock red rose oak leaves with acorn yellow iris and daffodils. Mrs Delany began making her collages or paper "mosaicks" as she called them aged 72. It was after her husband"s Dr Delany"s death in 1768 she began spending her summers with the Duchess of Portland at Bulstrode in Buckinghamshire and it was there that she began her remarkable series of flower collages that were bequeathed to The British Museum by her descendent Lady Llanover in 1895.4 of 5 designs blank.6" x 4".
