From a hand-drawn design by Zoffany collaborator, Sam Wilde, Eastern Palace elegantly represents the Japanese concept of fuubutsushi; a word unique to the Japanese language that means, The things feelings, scents, images that evoke memories or anticipation for a particular season. Snaking its way through the design, a mysterious river unites Japans four main islands, taking in palaces, temples and giant kamis or spirits. Making its bedding debut, Eastern Palace is digitally printed on a luxurious 400 thread count Egyptian cotton sateen and is finished with cord piping.
