A bona fide work of art, this fascinating piece is an excellent example of Marc Newson's taste forWooden Chair is an example of Marc Newson's ambition to push the limits of materials. It's the outcome of exceptional wooden expertise. Extremely airy, the openwork structure is made up of several steam-shaped solid beech slats, which are entangled to form a loop. The beech bands are reinforced with horizontal supports: 2 on the ends and 3 on the seat. This structure is sufficiently sturdy to stand alone, whilst also offering a suppleness which provides great comfort. The continuous line is incredibly smooth. The Wooden Chair armchair is a modern and innovative seating solution, yet is also warm and astonishingly comfortable. This armchair imposes its sculptural yet lightweight silhouette just as well at home as it does in public spaces.
