Cashmere shouldn't be washed after each wear, unless it is stained, or heavily soiled. Its natural fibres, are anti bacterial and don't hold on to odours. We recommend hanging the garment outside to air in-between wears. When washing, opt for a low spin cycle and gentle detergent, use a low temperature, we suggest 30* to prevent colour fading and damaging the wool. Alternatively, hand washing not only saves on water, it is also much gentler to the fabric. When hand washing only use luke warm water. After hand washing, lightly wring the garment, and ideally lay flat and reshape when wet, to avoid having to iron. We do not suggest to use fabric softener on cashmere as it can stop the wool from being as breathable. We do not recommend tumble drying as the heat can shrink and damage the wool, it is best to air dry hanging or laying flat. Pilling does occur in natural fibres so use a wool pilling comb or fabric shaver gently to remedy this.
