The outer shell has a reproofable Durable Water Repellent (DWR) coating to prevent the Glove from absorbing any water. Please note - DWR needs to be reapplied and can be retreated to improve its performance. Due to DWR being applied to the face of the fabric, it is easily affected by dirt and oils, which soon coat the DWR layer, hindering the performance. DWR can also be removed by regular cleaners, so DWR should always be treated with a specific product which can refresh it. For further rider comfort and protection against the elements, there is an Outlast lining. This thermal regulating fabric has been created to control body temperature, but was originally designed for NASA to protect astronauts from temperature fluctuations in space. Wolf were pioneers in applying Outlast technology to Motorcycle clothing over 15 years ago. Outlast technology utilises phase change materials that absorb, store and release heat for optimal thermal comfort. As the skin of the rider gets hot, the heat is absorbed, as it cools it is released. This means that the Jacket can be worn for all-weather riding conditions.These gloves have an Innovative multifunctional water-resistant Closure System, designed to work with the Wolf Outlast Titanium Jacket. The Jacket can be worn over the inner cuff closure, whilst the outer cuff closure will then effectively and securely fold over the Jacket cuff preventing water getting into the Glove or the Jacket.For rider protection, the Gloves have been CE certified to EN 13594:2015 Level 1 KP with a hybrid of TPU and Carbon Knuckle protection, carbon fingers joint protectors across the glove and a double layer of leather across the palm and little finger for additional abrasion resistance. All Wolf products are rigorously tested to the extremes, ensuring that they are fit for purpose and keep the rider dry and protected. To increase the visibility of the rider to other road users, the wolf head and piping on the glove have been created with a reflective material which will be beneficial in poor, low or night-time light conditions.The Titanium Outlast Gloves have pre-curved fingers and a thumb motion panel to not only increase the comfort and range of movement for the rider, but to also aid with any effects felt from fatigue on longer rides. The Gloves also have stitch detailing across the palm for increased grip on the throttle, and smartphone intelligent Leather on the thumbs and forefingers so that devices can be used without having to take off the Gloves. There is also a visor wipe included in the design of the left handed glove.
