Jars Céramistes Plate Green Ceramic. Dimensions: 27 x 30 cm x H 4 cm. Wabi: the refinement of raw, textured materials. This sublime collection is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, which advocates a return to simplicity, to the beauty of imperfect things that nature offers us. Peaceful sobriety, authenticity, simplicity, asymmetry, imperfections, the mark of time… These sandstone items invite contemplation. Indeed, they are made of nuances, materials, plays of enamel... Before being practical, this tableware is simply beautiful, like a return to basics. Everyone, according to their own sensitivity, will see something in it: a beach with the foam from the waves leaving its trace... The pieces in the Wabi collection arrest us with their imperfect contours. They are made of stoneware, fired at high temperature with a rough grain thanks to the chamotte stoneware. This work in the material gives it texture and relief. Its thickness gives the impression of holding in your hand an object from another time. Then comes the surprising, complex enamel work. The Wabi collection is characterised by superb colour work, quite a long process because firing is necessary after the installation of each piece of enamel. The Wabi collection brings sweetness and poetry to your table. Both simple and complex, full of character and yet so sweet... Each piece is entirely handmade.
