This sublime collection is inspired by the Japanese philosophy of Wabi Sabi, which advocates a return to simplicity, to the beauty of imperfect things that nature offers us. Peaceful sobriety, authenticity, simplicity, asymmetry, imperfections, the mark of time… These sandstone items invite contemplation. Indeed, they are made of nuances, materials, plays of enamel... Before being practical, this tableware is simply beautiful, like a return to basics. Everyone, according to their own sensitivity, will see something in it: a beach where the foam from the waves leaves its trace... The items in the Wabi collection arrest us with their imperfect contours. They are made of stoneware, fired at high temperature with a rough grain thanks to the chamotte stoneware. This work in the material gives it texture and relief. Its thickness gives the impression of holding in your hand an object from another time. Then comes the surprising, complex enamel work. The Wabi collection is characterised by superb colour work, quite a long process because firing is necessary after the installation of each piece of enamel.
