Developed by Vitra and Antonio Citterio, the Grand Repos armchair adds a new quality of comfort and movement into our habitats: With its generous dimensions and padding, its cosy armrests and tall backrest, this elegant armchair with a pivoting base creates an experience of total comfort. Thanks to the synchronous mechanism concealed underneath the padding, the user can switch from an upright position to a more chilled-out, inclined posture and lock the backrest in any position. The resistance of the backrest can be manually adjust to adapt to the user's weight, hence ensuring unrivalled comfort and optimal spinal support throughout all movements. The characteristic headrest invites the user to sit back and enjoy a sensation of contentment and security. The decorative stitching of the padding, upholstered in fabric or leather for certain versions, gives the armchair an almost craft-like appearance.
