VisionlessDesigns Small Dual Slabbed Sycamore Table
Description
This small sycamore table was made by Damien Devereux who is registered blind. Produced from kiln dried timber sourced from a local sustainable woodland. This Sycamore table would be a great addition for any kitchen, garden or even an office as a small desk. This table consists of two smaller live-edge slabs which have been combined together. A wider desk which is also more uniform than some of the other live-edge designs I have in my collection. These Sycamore boards have a lot of character in them starting with the ripple wood which is a rare feature where there is a wave-like effect going across the grain rather than with the grain. This can give the grain an almost 3D look. They also have a small bit of spalting on one end of the table which is where fungus had got into the wood & changed the colour before being killed off when the log was sawn into timber. Unfortunately, the Sycamore table does come with wormholes from when the tree had fallen but they've all been removed & this table will not come with any form of livestock. The legs of the table are made out of yew branches which have variations in colour between each branch & have their own natural curves which helps to add more character to the table. This table is coated in clear outdoor varnish so will be good for both indoor & outdoor use. The table is small enough to fit through most doorways without much trouble & will seat 2 people comfortably. Delivery is free within 100 miles of Wrexham, customer to pay 1 per mile thereafter.
