Description
These folding benches are made by Damien Devereux who is registered blind. They are produced from kiln dried timber sourced from a local sustainable woodland. These wooden benches come in a variety of shapes & sizes. Some people not only use them as seats but have also used them as plant stands & even as coffee tables, so they have multiple applications. The wood species will be either a white wood (i.e. Sitka Spruce, Western Hemlock, or Norway Spruce) or a red wood (i.e. Douglas Fir or European Larch). The benches have been made to keep the natural shape of the tree, so any natural curves or bumps on the sides will still be there but will be sanded smooth to prevent any snags. The legs are made from peeled poles, again keeping their natural shape as well as possible. The legs are angled to add stability & are able to be folded away quickly & easily using the hinged bracing (no tools required). When folded the legs have a latch to hold them in place thus making it easier to move them about. The ability to fold these benches makes them easier for putting in the car, storing away in the shed or stacking multiple on top of each other. Great for those who only want to bring them out when the sun is out. These benches are 45cm high & 30-40cm deep. They come in 2 different lengths. Approximate sizes are as follows, but these are only the minimum lengths & they may come longer: - 1m+ which will seat 2 people - 1.5m+ which will seat 3 people If you require a specific length within these ranges, please leave a message when ordering.
