The paring knife features the Assure square safety blade design and locks into the bottom of the peeler to keep the knife secure and safe. A plastic blade cover is included for the knife for extra safety reassurance. Simply squeeze the bottom of the knife handle to release the knife. The knife blade has a non-stick coating to reduce cutting friction. The extra sharp pivot blade peeler is made from stainless steel with the added feature of a potato eye remover.
