Seeing that his family and friends were becoming more interested in the game, he invested $8,000 to have 5,000 copies printed. Initially, he sold it out of his barbershop, but soon after, other local shops started to carry it as well. The rights to Uno were eventually purchased by a group of friends led by Robert Tezak, the proprietor of an Illinois funeral shop, for $50,000 plus royalties of 10 cents every game played. The company International Games, Inc., was founded by Tezak to promote Uno, with headquarters located behind his funeral shop.
