Description
The DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic is the first watch for freedivers. The freediving star Nik Linder now relies on the watch that he helped develop: the DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic. Nik holds five world records for distance diving under ice, two German records for distance diving in a lake, the record for the longest underwater kiss, as well as the longest apnoea dive, suspended from the ceiling with his head in an aquarium. By unscrewing the crown at 3 o’clock, the middle section of a slightly curved, 42 mm stainless steel case can be extracted. Thanks to a hinged ring that is attached to the middle section, the diver can now safely erect the remaining watch case while performing breathing exercises. Nik Linder added a further feature to the DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic: In contrast to scuba diving where the minute hand is crucial, in freediving it’s all about the seconds. Which is why the second hand bears a red tip, enabling exact reading of the seconds at all times. The DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic is a worldwide innovation, uniting the highest Swiss watchmaking art with the unique demands of the freediver. A reliable Swiss SW 200 automatic movement is contained in a case with a water resistance of 20 ATM. Time can be read via the bezel with its rotatable ring. The coloured ring on the outer edge of the dial is additionally divided into seconds. And the hands and Arabic figures are naturally coated with Super-LumiNova, so the DAVOSA Apnea Diver Automatic remains readable even with poor underwater visibility.
