A fine, curved line, a flexible rod which, as if by magic, keeps an imposing lampshade in the air: this is Twiggy, a floor lamp which has become a cult item which meets an infinite number of requirements in terms of space and lighting. This Elle version offers a greater depth between the base and the lampshade (L 260 cm). The flexibility and lightness of Twiggy translate into an additional feature: lighting a spot even further from the base. Tradition and innovation combine perfectly in this version with a bleached maple lampshade. The lightness combines with the warmth of the wood, providing a light with a surprising elegance. Twiggy Wood provides character and warmth to a space thanks to the wooden and its wonderful grain. The lampshade is created by placing two bleached maple leaves on top of each other. It is surrounded at the top and bottom by two bamboo rings a few millimetres thick. With its strong design, innovation and ingenuity, Twiggy seduces with its aesthetics as much as by its functionality. The result of research on composite materials, Twiggy has a long flexible and resistant arm like a fishing rod which lets you offset the lighting from its base. The large lampshade can be used instead of a ceiling light by lighting from up high. The extreme finesse of the arm means it takes up minimal space and the visual impact is discreet. You can adjust the height of the lampshade by placing counterweights above it (4 counterweights provided). This version equipped with high-efficiency LED light sources has been specially designed from a technical point of view to ensure the same brightness, the same diffusion and the same temperature of light as the original version. The LED cards were specially designed by Foscarini to achieve a very high colour reproduction level (ICR) while maintaining the same tone of light as a halogen source. The lighting is very high-quality: the large opaque diffuser allows optimal use of the LED light sources that project a direct downward light. What’s more, thanks to the transparency of the upper protective disc, effective upward reflection lighting is produced. Its My Light function lets you control and personalise your lighting through an app that can be activated and used via Bluetooth on your smartphone, tablet or your own smart device. It’s very simple to use: just activate Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet, download the free app and switch on your MyLight. Once the light is recognised by the app, you can start switching it on and off, adjust the intensity and colour temperature, and create your own scenographies. The Timer lets you automatically activate or deactivate the scenographies, even when your smartphone or tablet is switched off.
