&tradition Floor lamp Black Metal. Dimensions: H 134 cm - Base: L 47 x Depth 63 cm - Cable: L 200 cm. Real pioneers of mid-20th century Danish design, Peter Hvidt (1916-1986) and Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen (1907-1993) had an avant-garde approach to industrialised production. Now their work is exhibited in MoMA, at the National Gallery of Melbourne and the Design Museum of Copenhagen. The duo of designers created the Tripod floor lamp in 1953. Never released until today, it is the first time that it has been produced to the great delight of collectors and fans of vintage design. This light illustrates the minimalism which all Hvidt & Mølgaard's creations are imbued with. The Tripod floor lamp is characterised by its wonderful architectural and light base, sporting geometric and balanced lines. Tripod establishes a delicate balance between the austere simplicity of its design and the softness of its base's curved lines. The coloured metal is given a twist by a few golden brass details which provide a sophisticated dimension to the piece.
