Description
Trek Fuel EXe 9.9 XTR Electric Mountain Bike 2023 Trek’s Fuel EXe 9.9 XTR Electric Mountain Bike is designed to be the ultimate trail bike, as adept at climbing and technical singletrack as it is at shooting down descents.  The trail-orientated chassis pairs a 150mm RockShox Lyrik Ultimate fork with a nimble, 140mm carbon frame with RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock. AirWiz technology makes setting up and monitoring the suspension easy, so the bike is always operating optimally. There is a Mino Link to customise the bottom bracket height and head tube angle slightly between two options and the Active Braking Pivot effectively isolates the suspension from any braking forces. XTR is Shimano’s range-topping 12-speed groupset, with precise, instant shifts and reliably powerful hydraulic disc brakes. All cabling runs internally through the frame, but the guides mean that maintenance and recabling are quick, simple and hassle-free. Light, fast-rolling 29” carbon wheels shod with 2.5” Bontrager SE5 Team Issue tyres provide traction and agility in tight situations, and are both tubeless-ready. Bontrager also supplies the Line Elite Dropper seatpost and carbon RSL integrated handlebar and stem that give the bike an extra premium feel. At the bike’s heart is the unique, 300W TQ-HPR50 motor. Its Harmonic Pin-Ring (HPR) design means that it is quieter, lighter and more compact than belt drive motors, providing natural feeling assistance up to 15.5 mph / 25 km/h. The responsive nature of the power delivery is superb when climbing technical trails or flicking through windy singletrack and underlies the trail-ready nature of the Fuel EXe. The 360Wh battery can be charged in situ in the downtube or removed if required, and the top tube display gives access to the bike’s power modes and other ride information.
