An atmospheric collection of Christmas cards reproducing finely painted winter scenes by Midlandsbased artist Michael Reilly (b.1898, fl. 1920s–50s). The paintings capture, in intricate detail, the forms of trees and light effects of winter evenings and frosty mornings. Includes ‘Road Near Lewes, Winter Scene’, 1950, ‘Lighted Church at Dusk’, 1951, ‘Winter Skaters’, 1952, ‘Walking to Church’, 1954, and ‘Frosty Trees and Skating Scene’, 1954.
