Slade Green, named after garden journalist and author Naomi Slade who created this colour for her garden shed. Slade is also an old word for a glade or clearing in the woods, or small valley, or open area, perfectly describing this tranquil jade green. It's easy to transform and protect any timber surface with Thorndown Wood Paint, allowing you to be as creative as you like. This environmentally friendly paint can be used on any type of timber internally or externally. The delicate satin finish also allows the wood grain to be visible emphasising its natural beauty. Paint can be mixed with Clear to make a more transparent finish or mixed with water for a wood stain effect. If you have diluted the paint with water and still need a water repellent finish just add a couple of coats of UV Clear. Thorndown paints contain a selection of the best exterior grade colourants available that give a deep colour that lasts for years without UV fading in the sun. You can also paint terracotta, metal and plastic including PVC window frames!
