Tough enough to cope in even the poorest of soils, Wallflower Seeds 'My Fair Lady Mixed' will reward you with colourful blooms in shades of cream, lemon, gold, apricot, pink, salmon, rose, purple and mahogany. This neat, uniform, free-flowering strain boasts soft and fragrant flowers, which will delight you from March to May. Versatile and undemanding, this short-lived perennial tends to be grown as a biennial and is ideal for patios, cottage gardens, scented gardens, wildlife gardens and as cut flowers. Culinary note: the tender young shoots can be cooked and eaten as a vegetable.Sow in late spring/early summer outdoors in a well-prepared seed bed. Sow the seeds very thinly 1.5mm (1/16in) deep in drills 30cm (12in) apart. Keep the soil damp until germination takes place. Transplant the seedlings when large enough to handle 15-23cm (6-9in) apart.
