Each fruit weighs approximately 12g and when grown in the greenhouse over a long period, up to 500 thin-skinned, shiny red cherry fruits are produced per plant - that's about 6kg (13 lbs)! Tomato 'Sweet Aperitif' has a high sugar content and just the right amount of acidity which combine beautifully for a sweet, but refreshing flavour. When I sow them, I make sure the seeds are kept nice and warm in their pots, making sure I water them before popping into a clear plastic bag on my windowsill to help them grow, then I uncover when the seedlings start to show!
