Sanvitalia procumbens ‘Yellow With Black Eye’ has sensational ‘mini-sunflower’ blooms around 2cm wide that will brighten your garden with sunshine yellow flowers with black central eyes. Sanvitalia is ideal for planting in borders, hanging baskets and pots, where its blooms can tumble over the sides. Plant in sun or semi shade for bright pops of colour from June to October.Sow onto moist compost and cover with a fine layer of vermiculite, then place on a warm windowsill or propagator at 18-20C (Germination 14-21 days). Keep seeds moist, but not waterlogged. When large enough to handle, transplant into individual pots and grow on.
