Description
This easy to grow hardy annual is the perfect border filler. For easy summer interest, sow Orlaya grandiflora seeds in spring and enjoy clusters of pure white lacy blooms that are sure to attract a variety of pollinating insects to the area – perfect for those seeking a wildlife rich garden. Ideal for informal, cottage garden planting schemes, and for cutting and creating beautiful summer bouquets.Sow March to May. Sow seed on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a very light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Seal container inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 15-20C (59-68F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 21 to 30 days. Can also be sown outdoors direct into the soil during late summer/early autumn to produce earlier blooms the following year. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3 inch) pots or trays. Plant out once plants are well grown, 30cm (12 inches) apart. For best results, provide a well-drained soil in full sun.Product Specifications:Position in: full sunHeight: Up to 75cmSpread: Up to 50cmSupplied as 1 Packet of 25 SeedsImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
