Description
This compact, mound-forming hardy shrub bears pink and purple flowers from spring to early summer and then again from late summer until the first frosts! The scented blooms fill the garden with fragrance and can be cut for scented arrangements in the house. Syringa Bloomerang is a favourite with bees and butterflies, making it the perfect shrub for any wildlife garden.Pot up the young plants and keep in a frost-free place until they are large enough to be hardened off and planted outside. Choose a sunny spot with fertile, well-drained, neutral or alkaline soil. If plants arrive in autumn, overwinter them in a sheltered place such as a porch, cold frame or cool greenhouse, ready to plant out in spring.Feed and water plants regularaly until they are well established. Lightly prune after flowering to remove any dead, diseased or crossing branches and maintain the compact shape of the shrub.
