Description
You’ll love growing these pretty, pink blooms from seed with Lavatera trimestris 'Twins Hot Pink'! You seeds will grow into bushy plants, which become smothered in beautiful, fully round, satiny, pink blooms from June to September. Specially bred for improved disease resistance and great garden performance, this is a great choice for adding colour to annual borders or looking spectacular in containers.Sow seed in pots or trays of moist seed compost and cover with a sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place in a propagator or warm place and keep at a temperature of between 18-23C (65-75F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination will usually take 14-21 days. When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Grow on at a slightly lower temperature with good light and ventilation . Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 30-45cm (12-18in) apart or in containers.Product specifications:Position: Full SunHeight: Up to 50cm when fully establishedSpread: Up to 40cm when fully establishedSupplied as 1x packet Lavatera trimestris 'Twins Hot Pink' (approx. 25 seeds)Flowering period: June to SeptemberImages shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
