Kale 'Emerald Ice' offers a crop of delicious, fresh, vitamin-packed leaves from October to April! This is an exceptionally fine flavoured variety and one of the best eating-quality kales we know of. Its textured and ruffled leaves have the sweetest flavour and crispiest texture – even the leaf stalks taste like candy. Its leaves also develop a striking contrasting white centre as they mature. This variety has excellent winter hardiness and is a wonderful winter to spring vegetable to grow at a time when fresh garden produce is scarce. Companion planting: try growing kale with Nasturtiums to draw cabbage white butterflies away from your crop, and mint to help deter flea beetles. Product specifications: Position: Full Sun.
