Clusia rosea ‘Princess’ proves to be an excellent choice for novice indoor gardeners or individuals with a hectic schedule seeking low-maintenance lush foliage. Native to the Caribbean, this robust tropical shrub displays a somewhat unruly nature in its natural habitat, often growing on trees and eventually overwhelming its host. Thankfully, such behaviour is not a concern when cultivated indoors! However, be prepared for rapid growth; even small window sill specimens can stretch several feet with regular repotting. This plant features handsome, leathery, deep green leaves measuring approximately 6 inches in length. The leaves are so substantial that you can even engrave your name on them and witness the inscription as it expands, earning the plant its charming nickname: The Autograph Tree.
