Description
Garden mint is the ideal variety to grow for all sorts of culinary uses, such as a wonderful homemade sauce, or adding to potatoes and peas for some extra flavour. It can also be used to make a mint jelly or as a refreshing garnish for summer drinks. Growing mint is very easy and rewarding and will come back year after year! Best grown in containers for ease, and to also contain its spread. Height: 30cm (12"). Spread: 100cm (39"). Culinary note: Some parts of these flowers are edible. Plant height and spread is seasonal therefore we list by pot size rather than a defined plant size. The height and spread of the plant delivered will vary depending on the season, meaning arrival images are an indication only. Grow mint on any well drained soil in full sun or partial shade at a distance of 30cm (12") apart. Alternatively grow mint in containers to control its vigorous growth. Once established mint requires little aftercare. Harvest mint leaves before the flowers develop and use them fresh, dried or frozen. Cut back the old stems in autumn and repot container-grown plants annually in spring. Product Specifications: Position: Full Sun Height: Up to 30cm (12in) Spread: Up to 100cm (39in).
