Description
Geum flore-plena 'Blazing Sunset' is a striking variety from T&M’s breeding programme. These prolific plants are early flowering, with sensational fully double scarlet flowers, which are up to 50% larger than other varieties. Classified as a perennial, early sowing will see it perform like an annual! Enjoy the fabulous flowers from June to September – they looks brilliant in borders and make a dazzling cut flower for the home. This variety hold a Fleuroselect Quality Award.Sow from February to July in good seed compost, just covering the seed with compost or Sow-lite (Vermiculite). Germination takes 30-90 days at 18-20C (65-70F). Sealing inside a polythene bag after sowing until they germinate is helpful. When large enough to handle, transplant the seedlings to boxes or 7.5cm (3 in) pots.
