Description
With their thistle-like appearance, these perennials produce steel-blue flowers with spiny bracts on upright, branching stems. These blooms last from July to early autumn and offer nectar for butterflies and other pollinators. Eryngium planum is a good filler for the middle of flower beds, where it can mix well with other perennials. It is suitable for sunny borders, including coastal areas, or planted in wildlife gardens and cut flower gardens. Height: 90cm (36"). Spread: 45cm (18").
