Description
Commonly known as a Bell Flower, this hardy, upright perennial produces pretty blue-mauve blooms, held tall on bright green, upright stems so they hold pride of place in the garden. Campanula persicifolia ‘Caerulea’ is sure to add height, texture and colour to any area of the garden, looking especially effective when grown in beds, borders and containers. This wonderful Campanula is perfect for wildlife planting schemes as it attracts a variety of pollinating insects to the garden, and makes a delightful cut flower, allowing you to enjoy its beautiful colour even more by bringing it indoors and creating a lovely vase display. Grow Campanula persicifolia in any moist, fertile, well drained, non-acidicic soil. Campanula will thrive in sun or semi shade, but the dainty bell-flowers will last longer in a slightly shaded position.Water regularly until Campanula plants are fully established. After flowering, cut back the plants to remove faded Campanula flowers and promote a second flush of blooms. Divide overcrowded clumps in spring or autumn to maintain vigour.Product Specifications:Position in: Sun or semi shadeHeight: Up to 70cmSpread: Up to 25cmSupplied as 1x 1 litre pot.Images shown are for guidance only of the expected results from plants upon maturity.
