For sheer flower power, Thompson & Morgan Rhododendron 'Canzonetta' is hard to beat! This low growing evergreen comes from the popular Azalea group and has a particularly slow growth habit that’s perfect for tumbling over low walls or cascading down a rockery. This RHS AGM variety makes a superb low maintenance shrub for the patio or planted at the front of acidic borders. From late May large, semi-double, red-pink flowers completely smother the foliage. The glossy, evergreen foliage provides year-round colour, turning to rich mahogany during the winter months. When growing Thompson & Morgan Rhododendron 'Canzonetta' choose a position in moist, well drained, acidicic soil that has been enriched with plenty of well-rotted organic matter. Choose a position in semi or dappled shade with shelter from cold drying winds. Many dwarf Rhododendrons can cope with a sunny position provided that the soil remains reliably moist.
