This Bay tree, trained and pruned as a standard, makes an elegant addition to patio containers and sheltered garden borders. Perfect as a pair placed either side of an entranceway, bay trees are a customer favourite. Bay is a handsome, upright, evergreen tree or shrub. Although plants can ultimately grow quite large, they can be clipped into various forms of topiary and hedging. Pale-yellow flowers form in clusters in spring and the fragrant foliage can be used in cooking. Easy to grow and maintain, Bays offer evergreen glossy foliage and grow well in sun or semi-shade.
