A large striking & weighty white metal (unsure as to metal, possibly pewter?) Art Nouveau style acquired direct from an Estate sale, believed to be a reproduction piece. To the reverse a dark wood back frame with white metal original nut screws to which a white metal ornate stand is affixed (these screws have been replaced with modern & has letters Wmf marked on stand plate) which can be extended to suit the angle required. This piece does not have any glass, thus being sold as is & priced accordingly. I believe this lovely ornate piece originally would have held a mirror rather than a picture, but could now potentially be used for either. Please note this is a very weighty piece at 4.5kg & therefore a substantial grand statement placement piece ideal for interior designs, looking stunningly beautiful in an entrance hallway/reception/bedroom etc with either a mirror replaced or a treasured photograph/picture.
