Each spoon is different, we source old & vintage spoons so some aging & wear is to be expected, some have plain handles, some are decorative. I can add details to the handle if requested. Imperfections on the spoon are due to there age & history. One will be selected at random for you & may differ to the image shown. Shape, colour & stamping will also vary, these are created to be individual & unique. Due to there individual nature each spoon will vary in size but can hold approximatly 11 lines of text in the bowl with comprising of a maximum of: LINE 1: 1 character LINE 2: 5 Characters LINE 3: 8 Characters LINE 4: 10 Characters LINE 5: 10 Characters LINE 6: 10 Characters LINE 7: 10 Characters LINE 8: 8 Characters LINE 9: 8 Characters LINE 10: 5 Characters LINE 11: 1 Character This includes spaces, grammar & symbols. This is based on Gothic UC 3mm. Others will vary. Please note that these items are hand stamped meaning that I stamp each letter one at a time, so each letter/word will have varying degrees of depth & unpredictable spacing between them. Marks made during the hammering process are to be expected, these are designed not to be exact, which adds to the unique charm of them. The process is very different from traditional engraving, which carves a light groove into the metal. Stamping is a more forceful technique, where each individual letter, number & symbol is stamped by hand, one at a time with a hammer & steel stamp. This is much deeper than engraving. The coloring of the letters will wear off over time depending on frequency of use & method of cleaning, but the stamping impression will remain visible. HAND WASHING IS RECOmmENDED. Please contact me with any special requests. Unique, rustic & quirky. All handmade no machine power is used. All of the cutlery is antique & made of brass, which is then silver plated. None of the items are therefore dishwasher safe & we recommend hand washing in warm water. The cutlery is perfectly usable, being silver plated means that it is prone to tarnish over time & should be treated more as a keepsake rather than an every-day utensil.
