Description
The hand-knotted Bakhtiari rug from Theko has its origins in the centuries-old knotting tradition of Persian nomads. The Bakhtiari tribe lives in the Zagros mountains, west of the city of Isfahan. One of the best-known designs of the Bakhtiari nomads is the so-called "Chesty"" (garden pattern). Fields with animal and plant motifs are harmoniously framed by an elaborate border. These rugs symbolize a Persian garden. Today, highly qualified knotters in India produce the Bakhtiari wool rug for Theko in selected factories. This rug owes its excellent durability to the very dense and fine hand-knotting with approx. 154,000 knots per mâ². The pile consists of pure virgin wool, which gives the rug a special quality and ensures a balanced room climate. In addition, this floor covering can also be used in rooms with underfloor heating. Due to its classic elegance, this rug can be integrated into almost any living concept. Office furniture, bedroom, or living room become an oasis of well-being with this hand-knotted wool rug. Rug Size: Rectangle 250 x 300 cm"
