Created as a synthetic alternative to down, its small round fibre clusters closely mimic down clusters, trapping heat in small air pockets to retain warmth and resulting in lightweight, high-performance insulation that works well in wet conditions. Ortholite® sockliner combines a specific Ortholite® foam and an EVA heel cup. The foam creates a cooler, drier, healthier, better-cushioned environment under the foot and will not break down or lose effectiveness over time. The heel cups add better heel support and extra cushioning. IcePick® temperature-sensitive rubber lugs on outsole of boot for increased traction. The rubber hardens as the temperature drops, ensuring grip on frozen or solid ground.
