Wood and faux blinds are both constructed with slats but faux wood blind slats are entirely made of a vinyl/PVC material. Both of these materials are highly durable and will not warp, crack or fade, making those good choices for humid spots. The corded mechanism used in these blinds is to tilt the slats instead of a tilt wand mechanism. Its child-safe feature is user-friendly. Inside mount refers to a blind that can be mounted inside of your window frame or recess. For outside mounting blinds can be mounted up above the window, on the wall. Outside mounting may block lighter. Inside mounted blinds and shades can have small gaps on the side that let some light in. For wider blinds, install additional center support brackets provided for added safety. Side brackets are made of metal, strong enough, not easy to break or deform, durable and sturdy, resistant to fade, and easy to store. If you live near the coast or in the South, in areas of extreme humidity and heat, you will want faux wood blinds. Our blinds can be easily trimmed with a sharp pair of hacksaw or scissors.
