Danish designer Henrik Sørig Thomsen pays homage to the traditional wooden chair typical of Scandinavian design by delivering up a really subtle version. Handcrafted in solid oak, the Swing armchair combines Danish craftsmanship and Scandinavian design. The seat’s comfort is excellent and the construction details particularly well designed, demonstrating real woodworking know-how. The curved backrest with its iconic Scandinavian design lines is extended by the thin armrests: it supports the back without weighing down the form. The legs placed in a compass shape on the outside draw sharp, geometric lines that unify the design and surprise at the same time.
