Bumblebees need our help! Two species became extinct in the UK during the 20th century and a further eight (a third of the remaining species) are currently listed on at least one of the English, Welsh and Scottish Conservation Priority Species Lists due to their large-scale declines in distribution because bumblebees pollinate many of the food crops we eat.
For each kit purchased, £1 will be donated to the Bumblebee Conservation Trust, a registered charity No.1115634 & SC042830.Â
The Bumblebee Conservation Trust was established in 2006 and is a national conservation charity. Its vision is to create a world where bumblebees are thriving and valued, and their mission is to increase the number and distribution of bumblebees.Â
We have created our bumblebee kits to help raise awareness of their plight and to donate to the work of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust. Each of our exclusive Bumblebee Kits contains:
Knitting and crochet patterns for all four species pictured
6 x balls of DK yarn
A packet of wildflower seeds to sow in the garden (UK orders only)
Washable at 40 degrees
