A set of 5 rare Poole Pottery crescent shaped side plates, in the 1960s 'Arabesque' design by Robert Jefferson. You don't see these plates very often in the UK as I believe they were introduced in the early 1960s & mainly sold in Canada. The design is called Arabesque & features an interconnecting pattern of diamonds & dots, very retro. The colour is a dark orange, like a terracotta, also very retro! The plates are all in excellent condition & have the Poole mark on the back. They are intended for use as side plates, but would make great dishes for nibbles, canaps or a very retro banana split! The dishes measure almost 8.5 (22cm) in length & 4.5 (11.5cm) wide. They look great as a side dish against a dinner plate, as shown in one of the pics (dinner plate for demo only not for sale!).
