Derby LED pendant luminaire ensures high visual comfort and optimised acoustics The pendant lamp Derby, which has been awarded the Reddot Award 2019, not only enriches its surroundings with its purist design, but also ensures optimised light and sound quality. The slightly curved shade fulfils a sound-absorbing function due to the materials used, as it catches parts of the echo that arise from sounds and ambient noises. As a result, the acoustics in the vicinity of the pendant luminaire are purged of these noises and improved. Two LED light sources, located on and under the lampshade, ensure outstanding light quality. The upper light source projects the warm light onto the ceiling and provides atmospheric ambient light. The light source on the underside of the shade is equipped with a blacklight filter that focuses the light beam and reduces glare, thus improving visual comfort. For this reason, the pendant luminaire is particularly suitable for work areas in which intensive screen or display use takes place.
